Kashyap has also sought suggestions from the officials as well as from the people to make the festival unique, saying that all the interesting suggestions will be considered and will be incorporated into the event. “It will ensure that the old glory of the Summer Festival is restored” he added.
Kashyap also added that this year’s summer festival will feature painting competitions, road safety awareness programs, natural flower shows and many more events which will be announced soon. “Along with this, a healthy baby competition will be held and efforts will be made to organise a Himachali food festival as well” he said.
“The Shimla Summer Festival is a highly prestigious event, eagerly awaited every year by locals as well as tourists. Last year, the festival was organised with great grandeur and this year the festival will be celebrated on a much grand level with the cooperation of all the government departments and district administration officials” said the DC.
Kashyap also instructed the officials to start their preparations regarding the festival and to ensure that various kinds of activities could be held.
Kashyap also said a souvenir and coffee table book of the festival including old photographs of the town will also be released during the festival.
