The incident has significantly affected traffic on the route, causing inconvenience to commuters travelling in the region.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padhar, Surjeet Singh said that repair work is currently underway but may take considerable time to restore normal traffic flow. He urged travellers to avoid the affected stretch and plan their journeys in advance to prevent delays.
Authorities have suggested alternative routes for commuters. Travellers can use the Jhattingri–Katindhi road as the primary diversion. Other alternate routes include Padhar via Dianapark to Katindhi, Sahal to Katindhi, and Darang to Katindhi to ensure connectivity.
The administration has appealed to the public to cooperate with officials and follow the advisory for their safety. Commuters have also been advised to stay updated on road conditions and strictly adhere to designated diversion routes.
Officials said efforts are being made to repair the damaged stretch at the earliest, with safety remaining the top priority during the restoration process.
