SSP, Shimla, Gaurav Singh said that the police received information that a person travelling in a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus en route to Baga Sarahan from Kullu was carrying a large consignment of cannabis. He added, “The police acted swiftly and stopped the bus on the National Highway-5 near Sainj for checking and seized the contraband kept in a bag from the possession of Pankaj,” he added.
The SSP said that a case under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, had been registered and an investigation was going on.
