Lauding the valour of the armed forces on the first anniversary of the operation, Gupta praised the bravery, professionalism and strong spirit of the forces.
“Our armed forces acted with precision, determination and complete professionalism. On the first anniversary (of the operation), the nation proudly salutes their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to the country,” he said. He added that the operation was seen as a major turning point in India’s approach towards terrorism and cross-border threats.
The Governor said Himachal Pradesh, which had given many brave and decorated soldiers over the years, had always held the armed forces in the highest regard. “Men and women from the state have consistently served at the forefront of the nation’s defence, making this anniversary a moment of great pride for every citizen,” he added.
He said the hills of the state were filled with stories of bravery and sacrifice.
