The Norwegian delegation comprised professors, financial advisers and researchers from diverse science and engineering disciplines. The visiting members included Prof Maneesh Singh, Prof Ramis, Prof Sam Woodford, senior adviser Havard Skibened, adviser Elham Shams and researchers Johannes, Solveig, Jonas and Zacharias.
Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the university, welcomed the delegation on Thursday. He apprised the delegation of the diverse academic and research activities being undertaken at the HPU. He highlighted the university’s growing contributions to emerging and interdisciplinary areas along with several ongoing research, innovation, and capacity-building initiatives.
Prof Mahavir emphasised the importance of strengthening international academic engagement and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. He said the visiting delegation was actively exploring collaboration opportunities within the university ecosystem with the shared objective of developing effective, sustainable and internationally relevant research partnerships in the future. He added that the visit would pave the way for long-term institutional collaborations between the HPU and Norwegian universities, particularly the HVL, OsloMet University, and Oslo University.
