SP, Solan, Abishek S said, “The Darlaghat police had recovered 491 grams of cannabis from the possession of a Nepalese youth during a raid on his rented room at Khata village in Darlaghat on April 21. He was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He disclosed during his interrogation that he had purchased the contraband from another Nepalese youth, who resided at Jeri village in Kullu district.”
While tracing the backward linkages in the case, the Darlaghat police analysed his bank transactions and also examined other technical evidence to prove his involvement. He was arrested from Kullu district on Thursday and brought to Solan. He was booked under Section 20 of the NDPS Act. A probe into the case was underway.
