Navy Vice-Chief unveils INS-Mysore, Vijay Sindhu submarine models in Dharamsala

Admiral Vastsyayan then formally unveiled the newly installed models, symbolising both technological prowess and the nation’s unwavering respect for its fallen heroes. Col Dadwal also briefed the Navy Vice-Chief about the master plan of the memorial, highlighting upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing its educational and inspirational value.

Senior Army and Navy officers from the Yol Military Station, civil administration officials, NCC cadets of Government College, Dharamsala, and distinguished citizens attended the ceremony. Shilpi Beakta, Additional District Magistrate, Kangra, was also present on the occasion.

Col Dadwal recalled the five-year journey leading to the installation of the memorial with the support of GOC 9 Corps and the exemplary work of the local Engineering Regiment in completing the project swiftly. The event marked a milestone in the memorial’s journey to honour India’s martyrs and showcase the nation’s maritime might.
