Mandi school students celebrate Labour Day

“Helpers are the real heroes who make our lives easier every day” — this message came alive during the celebration. The event aimed to instil respect and appreciation for community helpers among young learners. On the occasion, the students dressed up as various community helpers, representing professions that play a vital role in everyday life. The students portrayed roles such as a gardener, farmer, vegetable vendor, painter, makeup artist, electrician, chef, garbage collector, construction worker, and sweeper.

Participants included Mokshit Thakur as a gardener; Vivashwat and Anaisha as farmers; Agastya as a vegetable vendor; Kiaan Walia as a painter; Avika Vaidya as a makeup artist; Tanay Sharma as an electrician; Sahithya Arora as a chef; Arjun Gupta as a garbage collector; Biraj as a construction worker; and Agastya as a sweeper.

Through engaging role plays, the children highlighted the importance of these professions and how they contribute to making society function smoothly and safely. The highlight of the event was a ramp walk.
