Acting under the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Shimla, the inspection was carried out on the directions of Additional District Magistrate and DDMA Chief Executive Officer Jyoti Rana.
The committee visited multiple sites and assessed the quality of work, pace of execution and adherence to safety.
Key projects inspected included landslide mitigation measures on the road from the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) to Boileauganj Chowk, safety works on the Gumma–Pujalibagi road, and mitigation efforts on the Gumma–Baghi–Narkanda road.
The committee expressed satisfaction over the progress of the works and directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
Rana said the projects aim to reduce landslide incidents in the region and enhance public safety. She instructed departments to work in coordination, complete the works at the earliest, and ensure transparent and effective use of funds.
