Describing the event as a three-day sporting extravaganza, the spokesperson said the tournament would bring together some of the finest young cricketers from CISCE schools across the region, fostering an atmosphere of excitement, healthy competition and sporting excellence.
The tournament is being organised under the aegis of the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), which promotes holistic education by encouraging students to participate in sports and co-curricular activities alongside academics.
A total of 10 schools will take part in the tournament. Participating institutions include Bishop Cotton School and Auckland House School for Boys from Shimla, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala, US Global Public School, Una, and Oakwood School, Mandi.
Representing Kullu district will be Our Lady of the Snows High School, Kullu, Kullu Valley School, Day Star School, Manali, Trinity School, Mohal, and Academic Hills Public School, Shamshi.
The tournament will feature competitions in the Under-14 Boys, Under-17 Boys and Under-19 Boys categories, providing a platform for young sportspersons to showcase their talent, determination and passion for the game. Winners in all three categories will qualify for the regional-level cricket tournament.
Speaking on behalf of the school management and principal, the spokesperson expressed gratitude to ASISC for providing students with such meaningful opportunities. Sporting events of this nature, the spokesperson said, play a vital role in nurturing discipline, teamwork, leadership, perseverance, resilience and sportsmanship among students.
The spokesperson added that Kullu Valley School has made extensive preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament and provide a memorable experience for all participating teams.
The organisers are confident that the event will not only celebrate cricketing talent but also strengthen bonds of friendship and mutual respect among the participating schools.
