Students belonging to the OBC category must have a family income below Rs 5 lakh in order to be eligible for the exemption.
In view of this, the university has invited applications from interested candidates until May 8. The final list of selected candidates will be issued on May 11.
The university has also mentioned that at least 10 students are required for an optional subject for coaching classes to be conducted. Interested candidates have been advised to obtain application forms free of cost from the office of the Director, Pre-Examination Training Centre, on any working day and to submit these along with necessary documents. Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, is set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dr Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPPA) to collaborate across a range of priority areas, including public administration, information technology and green energy. The proposed agreement will also have provisions for training and internship opportunities for students and faculty members.
Vice-Chancellor Mahavir Singh made this announcement following a meeting with a HIPPA delegation, led by Director Rupali Thakur, here on Tuesday. During the meeting, both institutions discussed avenues for academic and research collaboration and mutually agreed to explore joint initiatives, including submission of collaborative proposals to state and Central Government bodies and other funding agencies.
The Vice-Chancellor said, “It was agreed that collaborative work in these thrust areas, involving the faculty of the university and experts from the HIPPA, will support evidence-based policymaking and contribute significantly to addressing state-level challenges.”
He assured everyone that the university would extend its full cooperation and support for all collaborative initiatives undertaken jointly with the institute. He highlighted the university’s strong potential in teaching and research. He added that facilities such as library access would be made available to the staff members and trainers of the HIPPA.
