The state’s meteorological centre has issued an orange weather alert for Shimla, Mandi, Kullu and Sirmour districts for June 11, resulting in heavy spell of rain accompanied with hailstorm, lightning and gusty winds in isolated places of these districts.The centre has also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning as well as for heat wave conditions in Solan, Kangra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, Chamba as well for June 11, resulting in light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds. During this period, maximum temperatures are expected to fall by 3°C to 6°C in the next few days.Additionally, the centre has also issued a yellow alert of heat wave for Solan, Una and Bilaspur districts for June 10, resulting in scorching heat in isolated places.Meanwhile, the weather was mostly dry across the state during the last 24 hours, with very light rain observed in isolated areas. Minimum temperatures across the state were normal and ranged between 5°C to 26°C.
