Himachal Pradesh University to sign MoU with Institute of Public Administration for collaborative research

The announcement was made by Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice Chancellor (VC), HPU after having a meeting with the delegation from the institute here on Tuesday.

The delegation, led by director Rupali Thakur, along with her team, interacted with the university officials and the VC.

During the meeting, both institutions discussed avenues for academic and research collaboration. It was mutually agreed to explore joint initiatives, including submission of collaborative proposals to the state and the Central government bodies as well as other funding agencies.

The discussion also emphasised creating opportunities for student internships, enabling students of university to gain practical exposure through training at HIPPA.

The VC said both sides identified several priority areas of mutual interest, including public administration, information technology, management systems, environmental challenges, green energy and disaster management.

“It was agreed that collaborative work in these thrust areas, involving faculty of the university and experts from (HIPPA), will support evidence-based policymaking and contribute significantly to addressing state-level challenges” he said.

Prof Singh assured that the university will extend full cooperation and support for all collaborative initiatives undertaken jointly with the institute.

He highlighted the university’s strong potential in teaching and research, saying that its academic and research resources could be effectively utilised by HIPPA. He also assured that facilities such as library access would be made available to the staff members and trainers of HIPPA.
