Himachal Education Minister Rohit Thakur credits party workers with Congress win in panchayat elections

Addressing a public meeting at Kharapathar, Thakur said the historic electoral success was the endorsement of the development works undertaken in the constituency during the past three-and-a-half years. He said Congress candidates won all three Zila Parishad seats in the Jubbal-Kotkhai area. Congress-backed candidates also secured all 15 seats in the Jubbal Panchayat Samiti, while the party secured majority in the Kotkhai Panchayat Samiti by winning 11 seats.

Thakur said he had never witnessed such a one-sided and decisive victory in the PRI elections. The minister urged newly elected representatives to rise above partisan considerations and work for the development of respective areas.
