Residents had also been urged to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions. Those, who must travel, had been advised to check the latest weather updates before leaving and plan their routes accordingly.
The administration had advised commuters to use alternative routes if roads were blocked or were under construction, even if this results in longer travel time.
The district administration is issuing timely weather advisories and alerts through official platforms, including the Deputy Commissioner, Mandi Facebook page, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) social media channels and local media outlets.
Residents had been encouraged to stay informed through these sources and strictly follow the official guidelines to minimise risks during the ongoing spell of unstable weather.
