Dr Bhardwaj also instructed the officials concerned to ensure the timely availability of medicines for TB patients and regularly monitor their treatment so that they could achieve full recovery. He highlighted the need to intensify awareness campaigns to educate the public about TB and encourage them to go for early diagnosis and treatment.
A detailed review of the progress under the ongoing 100-day TB screening campaign in the district was presented. The campaign aims to identify a maximum number of suspected TB cases at an early stage and ensure their prompt treatment to effectively curb the spread of the disease. District TB Officer Dr Harit Puri shared updates on the ongoing campaign. Health block officers and TB eradication programme staff attended the meeting.
