Election observer holds meeting with returning officers in Baijnath

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding preparations for the election process. The observer directed all officials to ensure the free, fair, transparent and peaceful conduct of the elections.

He instructed officials concerned to strictly adhere to all guidelines issued by the Election Commission and maintain complete transparency during both polling and the counting process.

Emphasising effective coordination among officials and staff deployed on election duty, Sharma said smooth communication and timely execution of responsibilities were essential for the successful conduct of the elections.

Following the meeting, the election observer also inspected the counting halls and strong rooms designated for the storage of election material and ballot-related records.

During the inspection, he reviewed security arrangements, CCTV surveillance systems, entry control measures and other logistical preparations at the sites.

He directed the authorities concerned to complete all necessary arrangements well in advance to ensure that the counting process could be conducted smoothly and without inconvenience.

Among those present at the meeting were returning officer for Zila Parishad and SDM Baijnath Sankalp Gautam, returning officer for Panchayat Samiti and Tehsildar Raman Thakur, returning officer for Gram Panchayat elections and BDO Suman Kumari, along with other officials concerned.
