SCA had organised a grand cultural programme titled “Sarang-Ek Abhivyakti” at the university which witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, non-teaching staff and students.
The main highlight of the programme was the traditional “Sintu Dance” presented by the renowned Joginder Habbi Group from Sirmaur, which captivated the audience.
Additionally, notable artistes include Gopal Sharma, Rajendra Acharya, Dr Madan Jhalta and Dr Mohinder Rathore made the cultural evening memorable with their performances.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, the VC said cultural programmes strengthen the identity of the university. He also appreciated the efforts of the SCA and added that such events contribute significantly to the holistic development of students.
He also emphasised that students remain the university’s top priority is making their mark at national and international platforms.
The VC also encouraged students to associate themselves with the five newly established centres aimed at promoting research in emerging areas. “These centres will provide better opportunities for innovation, research and skill development.
Prof BK Shivram, Dean of Studies, HPU, who attended the event as the guest of honour said, “The university is not merely a centre of education but also a custodian of cultural values. The ‘Sarang’ programme has effectively showcased the creativity and organisational abilities of students.”
