He said that it was tantamount to a betrayal of the youth and the Congress government had shattered their hopes by making false assurances. He added that thousands of young people were wandering in search of jobs while the government had neither framed a concrete policy nor a clear roadmap for the creation of jobs.
Parmar alleged that the biggest proof of the government’s failure was that thousands of posts were lying vacant yet it had made no serious effort to fill these. He added that the future of the youth was being jeopardised while the government was busy in political rhetoric.
He said that during the tenure of the previous BJP government from 2017 to 2022, several practical schemes were launched for youth welfare, not only to provide employment but also to make them self-reliant. He added that the previous BJP government had focused on self-employment and skill development.
Parmar alleged that the Congress government was engaged in the politics of making false promises and announcements. “Today, the youth of Himachal feel cheated. This government is weakening their future and playing with their aspirations,” he added.
He asked the state government to immediately fulfil its poll promises, fill vacant posts and revive self-employment schemes. He warned the government that if it continued to ignore the youth, they would give a strong response to it in the forthcoming elections.
