Additionally, the District Welfare Officer was directed to widely publicise scholarship schemes for differently-abled students in higher education institutions.During the meeting, District Welfare Officer Manjul Thakur reported that Rs 9.99 lakh in disability scholarships was distributed to 94 students in Chamba district during the 2025-26 financial year. She noted that these scholarships support students from primary school through professional courses like engineering, medicine and law.The meeting also evaluated progress under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the PM's 15-Point Programme.
