According to the Directorate, counselling will begin from May 5, starting with the post of principal. The exercise will be conducted for all categories of teachers who have qualified the screening test.
Posting will be based on merit-cum-preference, subject to availability of vacancies. Teachers will be allotted stations in the CBSE-affiliated government schools anywhere in the state to ensure optimal use of teaching resources.
The screening test, conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education on March 22, saw participation from 9,821 teachers across all cadres. The entire counselling process is expected to be completed within 15 days.
