Capacity-building workshop on value education held at DAV School

The workshop, on the theme “Value education—the foundation of character-building,” was conducted under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It aimed at promoting moral and ethical values among students while equipping teachers with effective strategies for value-based education. CBSE resource persons Jagriti Verma and Saloni Dogra sensitised participants to various aspects of value education, including its core components, concepts, objectives, and effective pedagogical approaches.

The session commenced with an interactive discussion highlighting the importance of integrating moral values into classroom teaching and providing practical strategies for enhancing value-based learning. Around 60 teachers participated in the workshop and actively engaged in collaborative activities and group exercises, enabling them to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn from one another.

The workshop proved to be an enriching and insightful experience, empowering educators to foster ethical awareness, responsible behaviour and character development among students. The programme was organised under the guidance of school principal Rashmi Jamwal, who thanked the CBSE resource persons for their informative and insightful training session.
