Addressing supporters, Bindal termed the developments in West Bengal as historic, asserting that the BJP is poised to form a government in the state after decades of what he characterised as misgovernance. He said the electorate had voted for change after years of grappling with issues such as violence, corruption and infiltration. According to him, the people had recognised threats to their rights and responded by rallying behind the BJP in pursuit of what he described as “true freedom”.
Praising the Prime Minister, Bindal said the past 12 years had seen India achieve significant progress in development, governance and global standing. He argued that these factors had strengthened public confidence, leading to widespread support for the BJP across regions. “The faith of 1.4 billion citizens reflects the credibility and performance of the Modi government,” he said.
Launching a sharp attack on the Congress, Bindal claimed the party had steadily declined from its once-dominant position and now remained confined to a handful of states. He accused it of attempting to divide the country along caste, religious and regional lines, while also spreading misinformation in the name of the Constitution. He described the recent electoral outcomes as a clear rejection of Congress politics and termed them a “referendum against Congress rule”.
Turning to Himachal Pradesh, Bindal criticised the Congress-led state government, alleging it had failed to deliver on its promises and had disappointed all sections of society. He asserted that public sentiment in the state was shifting and predicted that in upcoming elections, voters would decisively reject the Congress and opt for change.
