Addressing the students, the DC said success was not confined to securing high marks alone, but also depended on discipline, consistent hard work, a positive attitude and effective time management.

He advised students to value not only their achievements but also their mental well-being, urging them to stay away from substance abuse and choose their company wisely.

“One should never look at failure with despair, but instead accept it as a valuable lesson and learning experience,” he said.

Among the students honoured in the Class XII science stream were Divangi of Minerva Senior Secondary School, who secured the fifth position in the state merit list; Shivam Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Barthin, who secured the seventh position; Muskan Sharma of RK Senior Secondary Public School, Ghandalwin, who secured the eighth position; and Ananya Sharma of GSSS, Jukhala, and Vaidehi Sharma of Minerva Senior Secondary School, who secured the tenth position jointly.

In the arts stream, Gauri Sharma of GSSS, Jakatkhana, was honoured for securing the fourth position, while Tejaswini Sharma of GSSS, Barthin, secured the tenth position.

In the matriculation examination, Poornima Sharma of GGSSS, Bilaspur, was felicitated for securing the second position in the state. Abhimanyu Patial of RKSSS, Ghandalwin, and Harshita of Him Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School were honoured for securing the fifth position, while Kavya of Him Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School secured the seventh position.

Ridhima Thakur of RKSS, Ghandalwin, along with Aarav Sharma and Ayush Sharma of Minerva Senior Secondary School, were honoured for securing the eighth position.

Students securing ninth position included Navita Sharma of GSSS, Panjgai, Jasmine of RKSS, Ghandalwin, Harshita Chadha of Minerva School and Pranshi Gupta of Glory Public School. Manisha Sharma of Government High School, Malangan, was honoured for securing the tenth position.

Deputy Director of Higher Education Naresh Chandel and Deputy Director of Elementary Education Arun Gautam were also present on the occasion.
