Union representatives said that on June 4, they had submitted a written representation to the university administration in this regard, urging it to cancel the transfer of general secretary Naresh Kumar from the main campus to Bajaura in Kullu district. However, they alleged that no positive response had been received so far.Addressing the gathering, member Jagannath, union president Rajiv Sharma, vice-president Sanjeev Parmar and Dr GD Sharma said the general secretary served as an important link between employees and the administration. They argued that transferring him outside the campus would adversely affect both employee welfare activities and the functioning of the union.The speakers further alleged that the order had been issued despite a complete ban on transfers in the state.
