शिमला से सटे किन्नौर जिले में एक महीने तक चलने वाला अभियान Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare और Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) के सहयोग से शुरू हुआ है। यह अभियान June 30 तक चलेगा और इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य किसानों को वैज्ञानिक और टिकाऊ खेती के तरीकों से अवगत कराना है।

इस अभियान की शुरुआत Nako और Spillow गांवों से हुई, जो कि Pooh block में आते हैं। Dr Pramod Sharma, Associate Director (Research) और KVK Kinnaur के प्रमुख, ने Dr Shamsher Singh, Deputy Director, Horticulture, और Dr Ramesh Lal, Project Director, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) के साथ मिलकर दो टीमों का गठन किया है। इन टीमों में KVK के वैज्ञानिक Dr DP Bhandari (Plant Pathologist), Dr Arun Kumar (Fruit Scientist), Dr Budhi Ram (Entomologist) और Dr Deepika (Fruit Scientist) शामिल हैं।

इस अभियान का मुख्य उद्देश्य 42 स्थानों पर किसानों को वैज्ञानिक और टिकाऊ खेती के तरीकों से अवगत कराना है। Dr Sharma ने कहा कि इस अभियान के माध्यम से किसानों को मिट्टी की जांच पर आधारित पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन के महत्व के बारे में जागरूक किया जाएगा। वैज्ञानिकों ने किसानों को प्राकृतिक खेती, एकीकृत पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन और पर्यावरण अनुकूल कृषि तकनीकों के महत्व के बारे में बताया।
इस अभियान के पहले चरण में, Nako और Spillow गांवों में जागरूकता कार्यक्रम, समूह चर्चा और क्षेत्र प्रदर्शन आयोजित किए गए। किसानों को रासायनिक उर्वरकों के अत्यधिक उपयोग के नकारात्मक प्रभावों के बारे में बताया गया।
