कांगड़ा पुलिस ने ‘ऑपरेशन नया सवेरा’ के तहत एक अंतरराज्यीय नशीली दवाओं की तस्करी के गिरोह का पर्दाफाश किया है, जिसमें 16 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। यह ऑपरेशन कांगड़ा पुलिस की एक बड़ी कामयाबी मानी जा रही है, जिसमें 167.18 ग्राम हेरोइन, एक गुड्स कैरियर वाहन, 14 इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डिवाइस और लगभग ₹80 लाख के वित्तीय लेन-देन का पता लगाया गया है।
गिरोह का पर्दाफाश
कांगड़ा के पुलिस अधीक्षक अशोक रतन ने बताया कि यह गिरोह अभिषेक साहोटा नामक व्यक्ति द्वारा संचालित किया जा रहा था, जो जालंधर, पंजाब का निवासी है। यह गिरोह कांगड़ा जिले में हेरोइन की आपूर्ति के लिए एक व्यापक नेटवर्क का संचालन कर रहा था। पुलिस ने बताया कि इस गिरोह ने जिले में 8 अलग-अलग स्थानों पर ड्रग डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन पॉइंट्स स्थापित किए थे, ताकि उपभोक्ताओं को बिना किसी बाधा के हेरोइन की आपूर्ति की जा सके।
गिरोह का मोडस ऑपरेंडी
पुलिस की जांच में पता चला है कि यह गिरोह एक जटिल मोडस ऑपरेंडी का उपयोग कर रहा था, जिसमें ड्रग कonsignments को पहले से तय किए गए स्थानों पर रखा जाता था, और उनके निर्देशांक और वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग इलेक्ट्रॉनिक रूप से साझा किए जाते थे। भुगतान कई बैंक खातों, QR-Code लेनदेन और लोक मित्र केंद्र के माध्यम से किए जाते थे, ताकि पैसे की गतिविधियों को छिपाया जा सके।
इस ऑपरेशन का पहला चरण 24 मई को शुरू हुआ, जब सीआईए कांगड़ा और पुलिस स्टेशन पालमपुर की टीमों ने एक साथ छापेमारी की, जिसमें 16.06 ग्राम हेरोइन बरामद की गई और 5 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। इनमें अभिषेक साहोटा, मोहित साहोटा उर्फ हरमन, सुमित उर्फ शिव आदित्य, रितिक और प्रिया शामिल थे। आगे की जांच में और ड्रग डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन पॉइंट्स की पहचान की गई।
