हिमाचल प्रदेश के दो पंचायतों ने राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार जीतकर अपनी पहचान बनाई है। Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj के प्रवक्ता के अनुसार, इन पंचायतों को सामाजिक सुरक्षा, रोजगार सृजन, स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं, महिला भागीदारी और समावेशी शासन में उत्कृष्ट प्रयासों के लिए यह पुरस्कार दिया गया है। Gram Panchayat Shansha ने अपने क्षेत्र में MGNREGA के तहत जॉब कार्ड जारी करने, National Social Assistance Programme के लाभार्थियों को कवर करने, Ayushman Bharat Health Cards का वितरण करने, ICDS सेवाओं को लागू करने और महिला भागीदारी के लिए Mahila Gram Sabhas आयोजित करने जैसे कई महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किए हैं।

Gram Panchayat Lohardi ने मंडी जिले में स्वच्छ और हरित पंचायत श्रेणी में संयुक्त तीसरा पुरस्कार जीता है। इस पंचायत को Rs 25 lakh का नगद पुरस्कार मिला है। यह पंचायत 100 प्रतिशत घरेलू शौचालय कवरेज के साथ-साथ स्वच्छ ईंधन (LPG) को अपनाने, कूड़ा-कचरा संग्रहण प्रणाली को लागू करने, कूड़ा-कचरा प्रबंधन और सौर ऊर्जा से संचालित बुनियादी ढांचे के लिए जानी जाती है।
