Bhajji, who was elected from the Shimla Urban seat in 2003, is considered a close associate of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Along with Bhajji, Ramesh Chand from Malag village in the Kangoo area of Nadaun (Hamirpur) and Satishwar Sharma from Chamyana in the Dadahu area of Sirmaur have been appointed as non-official directors of the corporation.
Bhajji called on the CM to express gratitude for the appointment. “I thanked the CM for entrusting me with this responsibility. I will make every effort to promote traditional Himachali handicrafts and handloom products so that artisans receive due support and encouragement from the government,” he said.
