45 units collected at blood donation camp

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, university staff and residents from nearby areas. Participants underwent various medical tests, including blood pressure, blood sugar and general health screening, using modern diagnostic equipment. Expert doctors also consulted and guided attendees.

A total of 45 units of blood were collected during the blood donation drive, reflecting the strong commitment of the participants towards social responsibility. The collected blood will be used to support patients in need, especially during medical emergencies, surgeries and in cases of serious illnesses such as thalassemia.

The camp was jointly organised by the schools of pharmacy and allied and healthcare sciences. Check-up services were provided by Atulaya Healthcare, while the blood donation drive was conducted by a team from the Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH), Shimla, in collaboration with the allied health sciences department, under the sponsorship of Rotary Club, Shimla.
