The accused have been identified as Pooja (31), resident of Naksetli village in Kotkhai Tehsil, Shimla, Vinay Verma (40), resident of Jubbal and Pankaj, resident of Batavali village in Jubbal, Shimla.
According to police, it received a tip-off that several drug peddlers were president in a residential building in Jubbal area, who were there to sell the contraband.
Acting swiftly, a police team raided the said building and nabbed the accused along with the contraband, which was seized by the police.
A case under Section 21, 25 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 was registered in Jubbal Police Station and investigation was initiated.
In another case, one person was arrested with around 7.2 g chitta in Theog, district Shimla.
The accused has been identified as Pritish (24), a resident of Gujandali village in Theog, Shimla.
According to police, a police team from Theog Police Station was patrolling near Rahighat area, when it stopped a person for checking on the basis of suspicion.
During the checking, police found the contraband from his possession after which he was immediately arrested.
A case under Section 21 of NDPS act was then registered against the accused and further investigation was initiated. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shimla, Gaurav Singh confirmed the reports and said police are conducting the investigation.
