Two of the injured have been referred to IGMC Shimla due to the severity of their condition.
According to information received, the Bolero camper (HP-26B-2744) was being driven by Diwan Chand, son of Daya Ram, a resident of Kimcha village, Kushwa post office of Nirmand tehsil. The driver was reportedly operating the vehicle at high speed and in a negligent manner.
According to the victims, during the journey, the driver lost control of the vehicle. It first collided with another vehicle and then overturned on the road.
The impact caused panic at the scene, but local residents immediately sprang into action, launching relief and rescue operations.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital with the help of ambulances and private vehicles, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Initial reports indicate, while all passengers sustained injuries, the condition of several individuals is said to be critical. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team arrived at the spot and assessed the situation. Authorities have since removed the damaged vehicles from the road and restored traffic movement.
Police have registered a case against the driver, under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), corresponding to FIR at Brow police station. Investigation remains underway to determine the exact causes of the crash.
The administration has urged drivers to exercise caution in hilly terrains and adhere to prescribed speed limits to prevent such incidents. Kullu Superintendent of Police Madan Lal Kaushal has confirmed the case.
