Emphasising the importance of student life, Dharmani described it as the most crucial phase for achieving one’s goals. He said disciplined and dedicated effort formed the foundation of success and urged students to make the best use of their time to build a secure future while preparing to face societal challenges after completing their education.
He encouraged students not to be discouraged by failure, but instead to learn from it and strive to perform better. Highlighting the many opportunities available in life, he outlined three guiding principles: focus on what can be controlled, give one’s best effort, and be prepared for situations beyond one’s control. He also called on students to become self-reliant and resilient in overcoming obstacles, while meeting the expectations of their families and society.
Dharmani said the state government was committed to transforming Himachal Pradesh into a green energy state. He noted that students interested in setting up solar power projects could avail themselves of up to a 40 per cent financial incentive for projects of up to 2 MW, along with loan subsidies. He added that the government would also purchase the power generated. Students could also explore career opportunities as facilitators or consultants in the renewable energy sector, he said, adding that significant prospects also existed in hydropower.
Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Sanjay Kumar was present on the occasion. Others in attendance included former MLA Tilak Raj Sharma, HPCC general secretary Vivek Kumar, HIMUDA director Jitender Chandel, Director of Technical Education Dinesh Kumar, and the college principal, Professor Umesh Rathor, among other dignitaries.
