The CIA team of Nurpur police, during routine patrolling, set up a blockade near the Nagabari toll plaza. They intercepted a motorcycle and searched the rider, recovering 2.532 kg of charas. The accused was identified as Ashwani Kumar (33), a resident of Ravidas Mohalla, Narot Mehra Pathankot (Punjab). ASP Nurpur Dharam Chand Verma said, "The accused's bike has been seized. Police are investigating the background links."

Jwalamukhi Operation

In a separate incident, Jwalamukhi police arrested Raj Kumar (45), a resident of Ward-1, Village Gurnawad, Tehsil Dadasiba, with 221.37 grams of charas. He was found sitting in a public transport bus near the market. SP Dehra Sandeep Dhaval stated, "The police team conducted this operation during routine patrolling. Police are now investigating where the consignment came from and who is involved in the network."

Gagal Heroin Seizure

In yet another operation, a special team of Kangra CIA led by Head Constable Kuldeep Dogra arrested Balvinder Singh (27), a resident of Durang Khad Tarhari, District Pathankot, with 6.74 grams of heroin. The incident occurred near Sarah Manji bridge around 1:40 AM. The accused grew nervous upon seeing the police vehicle and threw a suspicious substance from his pocket, which turned out to be heroin. SP Kangra Kulbhushan Verma said, "A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway to trace others linked to the drug network."
