According to the complaint, Kota Srinivas, 40, had borrowed ₹2 lakh from contractor Ramulu and another ₹1 lakh from contractor Krishna to meet his wife Ramya's medical expenses. The contractors then brought the couple to an under-construction building at Prem Nagar in New Hafeezpet, Miyapur, where they were unlawfully confined and compelled to work as bonded labourers for the past four years.
