सर्दियों के लिए बिजली का इंतजाम करने में जुटा बिजली बोर्ड सरकार से सस्ती बिजली मिलना बंद होने से बोर्ड ने सर्दियों के लिए खरीद प्रक्रिया को अभी से शुरू कर दिया है। पूर्व के वर्षों में बिजली बोर्ड की ओर से सरकार से प्राप्त होने वाली सप्लाई को बैंकिंग आधार पर गर्मियों के मौसम में पड़ोसी राज्यों को दिया जाता था। सर्दियों में जब प्रदेश में बिजली उत्पादन घटता था तो इन्हीं पड़ोसी राज्यों से सप्लाई को वापस लिया जाता था।
अब राज्य सरकार से बिजली नहीं मिलने की स्थिति में बोर्ड ने सर्दियों के लिए बिजली खरीद को टेंडर आमंत्रित किए हैं। इसके अलावा, हिमाचल प्रदेश में खाद्य आपूर्ति निगम की ओर से किसानों से गेहूं की खरीद सुचारू रूप से जारी है। प्रदेश के 1214 किसानों ने अब तक 4548.20 मीट्रिक टन गेहूं की फसल बेची है।
