The Directorate of Education (DoE), Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, has announced the second round of non-plan admissions for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 academic session through the Common Admission Test-II (CAT-II). This additional cycle provides another opportunity for students who missed the first round.

Eligibility Criteria
For Class 10, applicants must have passed Class 9 as regular students from a recognised school during the 2025-26 session. For Class 12, candidates must have passed Class 11 as regular students from a recognised school in the same session and meet the minimum marks requirement for the desired stream. Reserved category and specially abled students are eligible for mark relaxation as per rules.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
CAT-II will consist of multiple-choice questions. Class 10 applicants will be tested in English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Class 12 candidates will appear for stream-specific subject papers. To qualify, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate.
School Allocation
Schools will be allotted by the concerned District Deputy Director of Education (DDE) based on seat availability, subject requirements, and the student's place of residence. Admissions are open only to Delhi residents and will be offered in DoE-run government schools, excluding CM Shri Schools, Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSEs), and Schools of Excellence (SoEs).
Application Process
Application forms are available from July 10, 2026. Completed forms must be submitted by July 25, 2026. Heads of Schools (HoSs) will send eligible applications to the District DDE by July 27 for admit card issuance. Admit cards will be distributed on July 30 at the schools where applications were submitted.
