CM Sukhu criticized the central government's Agnipath scheme, noting that earlier a large number of Himachal's youth used to join the army, but now recruitment opportunities have reduced. To address this, the state government has started continuous recruitment drives in various departments including the police. He also highlighted strict action taken in paper leak cases immediately after the Congress government came to power. The Subordinate Services Selection Board was dissolved and those involved were sent to jail. He also criticized the central government over the NEET paper leak.
Education and Health Sector Improvements
The Chief Minister said that Himachal now ranks fifth in the country in terms of quality in education, and the government is striving to improve it further. In the health sector, modern machinery comparable to AIIMS Delhi is being provided in government hospitals, and robotic surgery facilities have been started in four medical colleges of the state.
