Hamirpur, July 8: The Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme and the second phase of the School Chalo Abhiyan were launched on Wednesday at the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium in the Collectorate. The scheme provides cashless medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh to teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and cooks. Ten beneficiaries were handed dummy cards during the event.

Chief guest Dr. Sunil Kumar Vishwakarma, President of Lalit Kala Academy Varanasi, said the government has given a big gift. The aim is to ensure no child is deprived of education. MLA Manoj Prajapati remarked that the government has removed health concerns of teachers, enabling them to teach in a better environment. Under the scheme, online card registration process and cashless treatment details were explained.

Additional Benefits Announced
Students of council schools received ₹1,200 per student via Direct Benefit Transfer for uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters, and school bags. At the Rath tehsil hall, MLA Manisha Anuragi said the Chief Minister has provided cashless facility up to ₹5 lakh for education department employees. District Panchayat President Jayanti Rajput noted that about 12 lakh employees across the state will benefit. SBI Branch Manager Virendra Kumar informed that the Chief Minister has approved a Memorandum of Understanding for a special salary account to secure 10 lakh teachers and contract workers.

Under the second phase of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Kasturba Gandhi Residential School students held a rally highlighting the importance of education. The event was conducted by Manjeeta Ahirwar and Gyanendra Dwivedi, with Ravindra Saxena as anchor. Present were ARP Masroor Ahmad Hashmi, Naseem Ahmad, Bhuvanesh Tiwari, Naveen Budholia, Sanjeev Sharma, Salauddin, and other teachers.
