The RRB Application Form
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) application is filled online only. There is no paper form to post. You register with your name, date of birth, mobile number and email, then complete the detailed form with your educational qualifications, category and address details.
Keep your Class 10 certificate, degree or diploma marksheet, category certificate and a valid photo ID ready before you start. Name, spelling and date of birth must match your Class 10 certificate exactly, because that is the record the board checks at every later stage.
Vacancy numbers, application fees, age limits and last dates change with every notification. Do not rely on forwarded messages or coaching posts. Read the official notice and confirm every number on the official website: https://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/
Photo and Signature Rules
Your photograph must be a recent, clear, front-facing colour photo with a plain light background. Do not use a selfie, a group photo, a photo with a cap or dark glasses, or an old photograph that no longer looks like you. The face should be centred and fully visible.
Your signature must be done in running hand with a black or blue pen on plain white paper, then scanned or photographed cleanly. Capital letters or a shaky signature can get the upload rejected.
File size, dimensions and format are set in each notification and can differ from one recruitment cycle to the next. Check the exact specification in the official notice before uploading, and keep a copy of the same photo and signature for the admit card and exam day.
What the Admit Card Must Show
The admit card is your entry pass. Before you download it, check that your name, roll number, registration number, photograph and signature are printed correctly. It should also carry the exam name, date and reporting time, the exam centre name and full address, and the instructions for the day.
If any detail is wrong or the photo is unclear, raise it with the board through the official channel well before the exam. Do not travel to the centre hoping it will be sorted out there.
Carry a printed copy of the admit card plus the original photo ID mentioned in the notice. Candidates travelling from Himachal should plan the journey in advance, since centres are often outside the state. Download only from the official website: https://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/
