HP High Court Recruitment: How Its Notices Differ From HPSSC

Updated Oct 11, 2026

  • The High Court of Himachal Pradesh publishes its own recruitment notices at https://hphighcourt.nic.in/. Treat that site as the starting point, not a coaching page or an aggregator that copies the notice later.
  • Unlike HPSSC, the court is recruiting for its own establishment. Posts are typically court-related roles such as clerks, stenographers, drivers, or similar staff, and the notice is issued by the court itself rather than a state commission.
  • Because the court is the appointing authority, the notice, the application form, the admit card, and the final result usually all live on the same court website. There is no separate commission portal to cross-check.
  • Read the notice as a single document from top to bottom. The eligibility conditions, the application window, and the selection stages are usually described together, so skipping sections is how most mistakes happen.
  • Check the exact post name and any category-wise or post-wise break-up in the notice itself. Do not assume numbers from a previous year's advertisement or from a social media post.
  • Look for the prescribed application method. Some court recruitments use an online form on the court site, while others may ask for a printed application sent by post. The notice will say which applies.
  • Note the fee, if any, only from the official notice. Fee amounts, exemptions, and payment modes change between advertisements, so confirm them on the court website rather than trusting a forwarded message.
  • Check the age limits and relaxation rules as written in that specific notice. Court recruitment notices often state the cut-off date for age calculation, and that date matters as much as the limit itself.
  • Look at the selection stages carefully. Written test, typing or skill test, and interview may appear in a fixed order, and qualifying in one stage may be a precondition for the next.
  • If a skill or typing test is listed, check the prescribed speed and the language or script requirements. These are usually stated in the notice and are not negotiable at the exam centre.
  • Keep the official notice PDF saved or printed. Dates, venue details, and instructions for downloading admit cards are usually announced through the same court website, sometimes in a separate update.
  • Watch the court website for corrigenda and addenda. Recruitment notices are sometimes amended, and an amendment can change dates, vacancies, or eligibility.
  • Do not rely on coaching pages, Telegram forwards, or job blogs for vacancy counts, fees, last dates, or cut-off marks. Those details must be confirmed on the official court website.
  • Before applying, re-read the notice for document requirements such as photographs, signatures, certificates, and any declaration. Missing documents are a common reason applications get rejected.
  • Keep your registration details, application number, and payment reference safe. You will need them to download the admit card and to check results on the court site.
  • Remember that this page is only a guide to how court recruitment notices are structured. For every number, date, fee, and eligibility condition, confirm on https://hphighcourt.nic.in/.
