Pensioners across India can now submit their annual life certificate from home, without visiting a bank or pension office. The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare is running the 5th Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign from 1 to 30 November 2026 — the biggest such campaign so far, covering 2,000 cities and districts.

The campaign’s target is 2.30 crore Digital Life Certificates, of which 1.50 crore are to come through face authentication. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh was scheduled to formally launch the campaign in New Delhi on 6 November 2026.

What is a Digital Life Certificate?

A Digital Life Certificate, known as Jeevan Pramaan, is a biometric-enabled digital certificate that pensioners must submit every year to prove they are alive and keep receiving their pension. It was launched on 10 November 2014.

Instead of visiting a bank, pensioners can now generate the certificate using face authentication — a scan of their face through the Jeevan Pramaan app on a smartphone camera. The feature works on Android and iOS phones and needs no separate fingerprint scanner.

Who needs to submit, and by when

  • Pensioners aged 80 and above (super seniors): can submit from 1 October 2026.
  • Pensioners below 80: can submit from 1 November 2026.
  • Final deadline for all categories: 30 November 2026.

Note: the campaign runs 1–30 November, but the submission window can differ by pension authority. Central government pensioners follow the November window above.

How to submit from home

  1. Download the Jeevan Pramaan Face App and the AadhaarFaceRd app from the official app store listing.
  2. Enter your Aadhaar number and pension details.
  3. Complete the face scan using your phone camera.
  4. You will receive a Jeevan Pramaan ID by SMS, which you can use to access the certificate.

The certificate is automatically sent to your pension disbursing agency. Use only the official Jeevan Pramaan portal or app store listing — do not download the app from links shared on WhatsApp or SMS.

Camps and help

Camps are being organised across 2,000 cities and districts with 19 banks, 785 district post offices and 56 pensioners’ welfare associations taking part, along with India Post Payments Bank, EPFO, Railways, the Department of Telecommunications and state governments. Volunteers are being mobilised for doorstep DLC for super senior and Divyang pensioners.

For technical help, the official Jeevan Pramaan helpdesk number is 1800 111 555.
