Women waiting for the 42nd installment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh will have to wait a little longer for an official date. As of late October 2026, the state government has not announced the release date for the November installment. The last installment — the 41st — was released on 14 October 2026, and the next one is awaited.

This post gives you only what is confirmed: the scheme’s rules, the last payment, how to check your status, and what not to believe. It does not give a date for the 42nd installment, because no official date exists yet.

What is Ladli Behna Yojana

The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana is the Madhya Pradesh government’s flagship scheme for women’s financial support. It was launched on 5 March 2023, and the first installment was paid in June 2023.

  • Monthly amount: Rs 1,500 per month for eligible women, paid by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The amount was raised from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,500 in November 2025.
  • Beneficiaries: about 1.25 to 1.29 crore women in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Women who also receive a social security pension get Rs 900 per month under the scheme, on top of their pension.
  • Budget: the scheme has an allocation of Rs 23,882.81 crore for 2026-27, and the government has made provision to continue it up to financial year 2030-31.
  • Total received so far: officials have said each beneficiary has received roughly Rs 62,000 in total since the scheme began in June 2023.

The Chief Minister has also spoken about raising the amount in stages toward Rs 3,000 a month in future, depending on state revenue and budget availability. That is a stated goal, not the current payment — the current payment is Rs 1,500.

The last installment: 41st, paid 14 October 2026

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav released the 41st installment on 14 October 2026 at a programme in Garhakota, Sagar district. Rs 1,500 was transferred to each eligible woman’s bank account through a single-click DBT. About 1.25 crore women received it.

The 42nd installment: what is known and what is not

  • No official date has been announced for the 42nd installment as of late October 2026.
  • Installments are usually credited around the 10th of every month, and some reports estimate the November payment around 10 to 15 November. That is an estimate based on the usual pattern, not a confirmed government date. Do not treat it as a promise.
  • There were also reports asking whether an extra Rs 250 would be paid with the 42nd installment for Diwali or Bhai Dooj. The government has not officially confirmed any extra payment.
  • The registration portal has not been reopened for new applicants. The government has discussed assessing how many eligible women could not join, but no official decision or date for reopening registration has been announced.

How to check your payment status

  1. Visit the official portal cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in.
  2. Use your Application Number or Samagra ID and verify with an Aadhaar OTP.
  3. Check whether the installment has been credited to your Aadhaar-linked bank account.
  4. You can also check your bank passbook, SMS alerts from your bank, or your nearest bank branch.

If the money has not arrived by the usual date, wait for the official announcement before assuming a delay. Payments are made in batches, and not every account is credited on the same day.

Warning: beware of fraud

  • Nobody can reopen your registration or guarantee your payment for money. Do not pay anyone who claims they can get your name added or your installment released early.
  • The government does not ask for OTPs, passwords or bank details on phone calls. If someone calls asking for these, it is a fraud attempt.
  • Use only the official portal, cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in, for status checks and information.

Who is eligible

The scheme is for women of Madhya Pradesh who meet the eligibility conditions set by the Department of Women and Child Development. In general, the scheme covers married women, widows and divorced women in the eligible age group who are residents of Madhya Pradesh and meet the income and other conditions in the scheme rules. The exact eligibility details are on the official portal, and new registrations are closed for now.

What to do now

If you are a beneficiary, check your status on the official portal after the usual payment window, and keep your Aadhaar-linked bank account active. If you are not yet a beneficiary, wait for an official announcement about the registration portal reopening — do not pay anyone who promises to register you.
