Both advertisements are dated 14 October 2026. Both posts are Job Trainee posts on a fixed monthly amount, not regular pay-scale posts.
Qualification
For the Assistant Director post, a candidate needs at least a second-class M.Sc. in Forensic Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Forensics or Physics, or a Master of Computer Application (MCA), or a Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology (IT) or Electronics and Communication, from a recognised university.

Fee and dates
The application fee is a uniform ₹600 for all candidates, irrespective of category or gender. The closing date for the online application and the closing date for the fee are both 10 November 2026, 11:59 PM.

Apply online through the Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) system at hppsc.hp.gov.in. Find Advertisement 67/10-2026 for the Assistant Director post and Advertisement 68/10-2026 for the Scientific Officer post, and submit the application and fee before the deadline.
Do not confuse these with two other HPPSC forensic advertisements — Advertisement 65/10-2026 (3 Scientific Officer posts) and Advertisement 66/10-2026 (3 Assistant Director posts). Applications for those two closed on 3 November 2026.
