As of 2 November 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced NEET UG 2027. There is no information bulletin, no registration notice and no official exam date on neet.nta.nic.in.
Any page showing a confirmed 2027 date or an open 2027 application window is guessing. Some education portals have published dates and application windows for NEET UG 2027, but none of them appears on the NTA portal, so treat them as unconfirmed.
What NTA has actually said
On 26 October 2026, NTA published a revised examination calendar running to April 2027. It lists UGC NET (14 to 18 and 21 December 2026), JEE Main Session 1 (20 to 24 and 28 January 2027), CMAT (7 February 2027), CUET PG (17 days between 2 and 31 March 2027) and JEE Main Session 2 (2 to 7 April 2027) — but not NEET UG.
The calendar itself says it “does not constitute a notification for any particular examination” and that detailed bulletins come separately.
What is expected — not official
Based on past years, the exam is expected on the first Sunday of May 2027, which is 2 May 2027. Registration is expected around February 2027. These are expectations from the pattern of recent years, not announcements.
For comparison, in 2026 registration opened on 8 February 2026 and was extended to 11 March 2026. The regular exam was held on 3 May 2026, with 180 questions for 720 marks, and the General category fee was ₹1,700.
Exam mode not decided
NTA has not confirmed whether NEET UG 2027 will be pen-and-paper or computer-based. The government told the Supreme Court on 16 September 2026 that a switch to computer-based testing is under consideration. Until NTA publishes an information bulletin, details such as shift timings, test cities and duration are not final.
Why students are watching closely
The 2026 cycle was disrupted by a paper-leak controversy and a re-exam, which is part of why students are watching the 2027 announcement closely. That makes it more important, not less, to wait for the official notice.
Trust only neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in for dates. Ignore dates shared on social media until NTA confirms them.
