The INDIA bloc is holding a protest in Bengaluru today, Wednesday, 5 November 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM, against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Karnataka.
What happened
Karnataka’s final electoral roll, published on Tuesday, showed voters down by nearly 10 million after the SIR. The INDIA bloc had already held a rally at Ramlila on 1 November over the same issue.
What leaders said
- Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said deleted voters — except those who are deceased — should get justice.
- Minister Priyank Kharge demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging five U-turns by the Election Commission on Forms 6 and 7 and manipulated software for deletions.
