The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, will release the admit cards for the HP Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) November 2026 four days before each exam date, as per the official prospectus. That means the first admit cards — for the exams on 22 November — should be available from 18 November 2026.
Candidates should download the admit card from the board’s official website, hpbose.org. Admit cards will not be sent by post, fax or email.
When your admit card will be available
The November 2026 exams run on three dates, and the admit card for each date comes four days earlier:
| Exam date | Papers | Admit card from |
|---|---|---|
| 22 November 2026 | TGT Arts (morning), JBT (afternoon) | 18 November 2026 |
| 29 November 2026 | TGT Non-Medical and Special Educator VI–XII (morning); TGT Sanskrit and Special Educator Pre-primary–V (afternoon) | 25 November 2026 |
| 6 December 2026 | TGT Medical, Punjabi and Urdu (morning); TGT Hindi (afternoon) | 2 December 2026 |
The dates above follow the four-days-before rule in the official prospectus. Some job portals list 19 November for the first batch, so if the link is not live on 18 November, keep checking hpbose.org — do not trust any other website that asks for money to download the admit card.
Exam timings
Exams are held in two shifts: the morning shift starts at 10:00 AM and the afternoon shift at 2:00 PM. Each paper lasts two and a half hours.
How to download the admit card
- Visit the official website, hpbose.org.
- Look for the TET or “TET Hall Ticket Download” link on the homepage.
- Log in with your registration number and password.
- Download the admit card and print it on A4-size paper.
What to carry to the exam
- The printed admit card, with two latest colour passport-size photographs affixed on it.
- An original photo identity card.
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card. If any detail on the admit card — your name, photograph, exam date or centre — is wrong, contact the board’s exam cell for correction before the exam date.
A warning about wrong schedules online
A wrong HP TET schedule is circulating online, showing the JBT exam on 29 November and exams running to 13 December. That schedule is incorrect. The official prospectus schedule ends on 6 December 2026, with the JBT paper on 22 November. Trust only the prospectus and hpbose.org.
Applications for this cycle closed on 3 October 2026, after a late-fee window from 4 to 8 October and a correction window from 9 to 12 October.
